What is the Meaning & Definition of thesis

The concept of dissertation is widely used in the field of education, more precisely at the University level, because through it is designated that investigative work that a student performs on a topic in particular linked to his career and whose approval will be subject to their graduation as Licentiate. I.e. the dissertation consists of a monographic work with scientific rigor, but presenting an extension and much less of a traditional thesis complexity.
